Education and enablement

The RAiN team is diverse and dynamic, and we offer professional fulfilment across a range of fields rather than a single corner of the audit cycle. Enablement is how we grow that capability, inside the firm and beyond it.

Accredited training

A SAICA and CIMA training office.

RAiN is a SAICA-accredited training office and a CIMA Short Training Quality Partner. Trainees rotate across assurance, advisory, data and IT audit, so they qualify with a broader view of business than a single-discipline programme allows.

We also invest in continuous professional development for the whole team, because staying ahead of the industry is what lets us deliver for clients.

  • SAICA trainee accountant programme
  • CIMA trainee programme
  • IT audit and data analyst traineeships
  • Internships for Honours graduates
  • Bursaries for accounting students
  • Continuous professional development

RAiN Digital Warrior Challenge

Building the next generation of digital accountants.

In partnership with the University of the Free State's School of Accountancy, the annual RAiN Digital Warrior Challenge tests students' skills in data analytics, automation and digital problem-solving.

Open to second-year BAcc and third-year BCom Accounting students, the challenge asks participants to extract, transform and analyse data in a simulated business environment and present their findings as interactive Power BI dashboards. It's a competition, but it's also how we find people who think the way the profession is heading.
